Someone who speaks with a quiet but persistent voice of secrets and mysteries that elude others, who may be shy, and underestimated; but should not be overlooked.
Someone who loves nature, and is gently aware of its subtleties, and has ‘their ear close to the ground’. and eyes open to observe what may seem unseen
someone who has unique creative gifts and healing qualities.
Being silent to hear the voice of your inner heart.

my artistic statement......
My work is a celebration of life, love, and laughter. I'm influenced by nature, history, spirit,myth,magic,dreams & humor. As well as a preoccupation with color,texture,emotions,shapes and how to combine them and release my inner expressions,"the pictures in my head" My vision is classically imaginary/visionary and yet basically symbolic and abstract. My "beliefs" are based on instinct, intuition, insights,life..love..mystery,magic,spirit and laughter. as well as the many & varied life experiences , adventures, & opportunities I have personally enjoyed. The motivation in my life, art,and all that I do, comes from a power with-in. A sense that nature & art posses power to transform and regenerate. I choose to break the mold! To not only get "out of the box", but not even be near it! To feel free to express and create; Not to conform to the norm or what another might expect, I desire to reawaken the sleeping spirit of child that is within all,also the wee bit of mystery, A piece of magic with which the sense of feeling truly alive and free is reborn. As an Anam Cara Anam Cara is a Celtic term... meaning "Friend of the Soul" There are many times on our life path we all need a friend, and a friend of the soul knows just how to reach our heart and soul Harmony & balance are our Divine right, as is the realization we are already whole and we are loved... An Anam Cara is there to help, with advise and guidance, to assist you in finding your own souls/life purpose and connecting to your spirit and to reconnect to Mother Earth. An Anam Cara is there to help an Anam Cara is there to listen... an Anam Cara will hear your soul.
I found the following quote as a young girl
( about 11) and it propelled me forward... to discover and experience this kind of love.

As an Earth Steward
As an Earth Steward I read Rachael Carson's' Silent Spring when I was growing up,and it had a profound affect on me... I was also very blessed to grow up in rural areas and experience nature ,often times in unspoiled beauty. There are so many books out there that have spoken to me, but mostly it is Mother Earth and all the kingdoms of creation that speak to me.... recognizing we are all connected... and are all "Earthlings" is vital at this time. Caring for our First Mother... Mother Earth/Gaia .... as she has so lovingly provided for, and nurtured us. Nature's Way by ED McGaa Eagle Man hits home for me, speaks to my heart and soul.... I have been called a Medicine Woman, I have been called a Shaman... just labels...just titles... I only know; I love the earth & care for her as my mother, and do what I can, and part of that is sharing and teaching our profound connectedness to all. I am also a Certified Arborist... trees have always been important to me, spoken to me, and so I choose to be a "Voice for the Trees
